A woman with glasses and long brown hair sitting on a cream-colored armchair in a living room. Behind her is a black bookshelf with decorative items, including a gold face sculpture, white vases, a small sculpture, and books. To the right of the woman, there is a floor lamp with three round yellow globes. In the foreground, a round table with a colorful floral tablecloth holds a board game with domino tiles, a sheet with printed text, and some cards.

Welcome to

the table.

Learn, play, and connect through American Mah Jongg.

Whether you’re learning the basics, growing your confidence, or already comfortable at the table, The Lucky Dot has something for you. From beginner classes to private lessons, social play and curated retreats, we create welcoming spaces to gather around the table.

Hi, I’m Courtney.

The seeds of The Lucky Dot were planted over 20 years ago around my grandparents kitchen table. For me, Mah Jongg has always been more than just a game — it’s a reason to gather and a way to connect. This pursuit is inspired by this tradition and rooted in love.

“How do I get started?”

New players often ask, “How do I learn?” Below I’ve outlined the ideal learning path to confidence at the Mah Jongg table. Everyone’s journey looks a little different. The one thing that’s most important is practice. The more you play, the easier it is to find your confidence.
